Submit up to three (3) images you’ve taken that relate to or display the essence of the theme. What is it about Cats? So independent, so inscrutable, so… well, cat-like. Show us Felis Catus in all her (or his) glory. Whether your cat or someone else’s (but only your photos, please), show us your family felines! The judge will be looking for images that interpret the theme in interesting ways that engage the viewer; plus the normal photo judging criteria of: originality and creativity, photo technique and/or quality, and overall artistic merit.
CONTEST JUDGE: Andrew Darlow is a professional photographer, author, and consultant. He has lectured and conducted seminars and workshops around the world, and his editorial and fine-art work have been featured in numerous magazines, including Photo District News, Popular Photography, Professional Photographer and Rangefinder magazine. Andrew is editor of The Imaging Buffet (www.imagingbuffet.com), an online resource with news, reviews, and interviews covering photo-related topics. He is the author of two award-winning books: “301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers” (Course Technology, PTR), and “Pet Photography 101: Tips for Taking Better Photos of Your Dog or Cat” (Focal Press).
