RESULTS – ‘Mobile-icious’

Our food-oriented mobile contest pushed some of you but was well-received. Mobileographer judge Lisa Waddell comments:

“The best thing about this competition is that it brought together novice mobile photographers, along with veterans, who produced some really great photos!

“As a veteran mobile photographer I could not be more pleased, nor honored, to judge this weekly contest. I saw a variety of ‘camera replacement’ and editing apps used, I saw the level of creativity that comes with using those apps and, most importantly, I saw eyes opening to the fact that this handy little mobile device is a lot more than just a phone. Great job, y’all!”

Judge’s Comment: Simple, elegant and fantastic composition. This image combines all the elements I like to see in a photo. With a splash of color Mikael has elevated the common shrimp to fine art.

“Sweet”
by Andrea
Judge’s Comment: There is just enough grunge effect in this image to make the texture of the strawberry pop and the border keeps it in perspective. The fact that Andrea chose a berry not fully ripe is perfect. (iPhone, apps: DistressedFX, AltPhoto, 645 PRO, Jazz)

“My Favorite Meal…”
by Charlena
Judge’s Comment: I like the subtle tones and the composition in this image. The lettuce hanging over the side of the plate is a nice touch. Charlena has done her job; this salad looks delicious.
