Wow! What a great response to our first “Super-Judged” Photo Contest (“Seeing the Light” with Joel Meyerowitz) and Photo Assignment (“After Dark”). More than 1,000 submissions total, with over 900 just for Seeing the Light. And the overall quality of the images was outstanding. Submissions have now closed, and we’re in the judging phases.
For the Super-Judged contests, it’s a two-step process with a preliminary round by the PhoozL Photo Pros and then the final winner determination by the named (head) judge (Joel Meyerowitz in the case of the first contest).
For all Assignments, the Assigner is the judge, and first Assignment-giver Harald Johnson is making his selections now from all the images submitted. The publisher of 24HOURS magazine wants to see them, too
, so give it a few more days.
For each Contest/Assignment, the winners and top selections will be displayed on this PhoozNews blog right here. So please be patient and keep checking for updates.
And watch the home page to see what’s coming! And jump into the Phorums for Photo Critiques and more. Never a dull moment…
